Bad day for Virginia
As everyone knows by now the horrific news coming from Virginia Tech. I have been to Tech many many times, and never once have I had a bad experience there. All of the fun times at sporting events and all of the many fun times when I was hanging out with my friends who went to school there.
Today I cannot explain how bad it hurts for all of the young men and women who go to school there and for the staff that works there. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Virginia Tech Family.
In other sad news Prince William County Fire Department had a LODD. This morning Firefighter Kyle Wilson died while fighting a fire in a 2 1/2 story house.
This was Prince William's first LODD.

PW county has set up an online condolence for FF Wilson Here if you want to leave a comment
I ask that you pray for our Bretheren in Prince William County and for this very hard time in the Commonwealth.

I was reading and watching an article on firehouse.com and I had some serious concerns about this "Heroic" Move the chief made!
Anyway I do not want to form opinions but I ask that you go to this link and read and watch the footage and give your feedback!
Here is the skinny A major working fire in a bowstring constructed bowling alley and the chief jump in a ladder tower and moved it ......outriggers out......ladder up with firefighters in the bucket......
Watch the raw footage and read the article
Also you can leave the anonymous comments!

At 1400 on Wednesday afternoon Engine 3 was dispatched to Highland Rd for reported power lines across the road. As E3 entered the neighborhood Dispatch advised a house was on fire. E3 being a couple of block away reported seeing heavy smoke in the area. On arrival E3 reported smoke and fire visible from side 2 of a single family ranch style home. The reported cause of this fire was a tree limb was cut and it fell into a power line and in turn causing the fire!
No injuries was reported to civilians or suppression personnel
